Ok it is too hot to make coffee and I’m 2 days off caffeine. Which would be fine except that it’s all that keeps my head from exploding. So can anyone direct me to a way to make cold coffee without buying another machine? Maybe a powdered mix or something? A way to cool it off and have it not taste like socks? I’m getting moderately desperate but I can’t really stand the thought of drinking soda for breakfast :/

OH I KNOW THIS ONE!! Cold brew coffee!

It’s a bit smoother than traditional hot drip/french press coffee and takes longer to make, but you can make it in batches and have coffee for a couple days! You can also use it to make iced coffee drinks and stuff.

Also: espresso ice cubes. Plonk a couple of those puppies in your drink and it will cool it off without watering it down!

Thanks! I shall look into that! The “making it in batches” thing sounds good.

It’s pretty handy. We used it at work a lot. I think you can make it in a similar way to tea (maybe) but there are also cold brew towers that I think speed up the process. It’s super tasty, and I’m not even a huge fan of iced coffee.

Lemme know how it works out if you try it!

Yeah, I prefer hot coffee myself, but I’m willing to try! Will do!
