She was in costume as Jack, I was in costume as a different dude from a different series, and we were flirting as our personas would most certainly do if they were to meet. It didn’t really hit me until sometime after the con, damn she was cute OOC too.
And then I remained very confused and conflicted for a few months until I just said, heck with it. My gender has never really been one solid thing, why should my sexuality be any different?
Thinking back on my life, there were oh, so many others I tried -not- to find attractive, but that was the crystallizing moment.
