Seriously this thing is fucking gorgeous.

I don’t have a Tumblr, but I saw the ask you posted about the Bajoran earrings and I think you got it exactly right! Earrings on the right are a religious symbol. Ensign Ro wears hers on the left because she doesn’t worship the Prophets (speculated atheist, if I recall). In DS9, Bajorans who worship the Pah-Wraith entities (and Gul Dukat, the guy you’re thinking of, when the Pah-Wraiths possess him) wear theirs on the left because they’ve rejected worship of the Prophets as well.
Thank you for the commentary!
LLAP.
I love this version! I was always weird about the connection between Ro and the Pah-Wraith worshippers wearing their earrings on the left, but this makes sense!
This is actually something I’ve been wondering about. I’m a little fuzzy on something, because there is also at least one Bajoran who is seen both wearing and not wearing the earring.
When Dr. Mora was introduced, he had an earring. But when he returns later, it’s gone.
I didn’t remember Dr. Mora had one when he was introduced, so I assumed he lacked an earring because he was an atheist, since scientists are disproportionately non-religious compared to the general population (at least in our society). I’d be curious to know what others think about this, because I assumed in Bajoran culture non-believers would just forgo the earring altogether. I think he’s the only Bajoran seen not wearing an earring (please do correct me if I’m wrong), so perhaps religiosity is just very high among Bajorans or individuals do wear it in deference to their culture.
(Edit: I don’t know why the images won’t show up in dashboard view, they show up on my blog.)
I would guess it has something to do with their old caste system, since the earring was not just a symbol of faith, but also of their set career and social status.

Better graphics inspired me. Miv has a new face. I’m still gonna tweak the outfit though.

T’Rin is done with this party nonsense captainkoril
meanwhile, Miv attempts to drop balloons on people on the lower level…
Birthday shenanigans in STO. captainkoril and I made a conscious effort to party in the most ridiculous of places.
Vulcans really know how to get down and party!
I am in a mood tonight.
a “I’m gonna pretend to be all self-important and confident and write grandiose villain speeches in my head, because I’m really just pissed at everyone in my vicinity and trying to hold it in so I don’t smash their smug little faces in and destroy everything they love” mood

“Let’s give the Cardassian captain a mostly Bajoran crew and send her on diplomatic missions to resolve disputes with Bajorans and Cardassians.”
Starfleet may think this is amusing, but I can assure you, I do not. Do they think these sorts of traumas resolve themselves in a matter of moments? As individuals, we will find common ground and even friendships, but as neighboring races…we have a long way to go.
My boffs must always die in the most awkward positions.

No Miv, you do not want your own photonic army…but they’re so pretty
I want a photonic army
This is why I got Phos
Actually the price for the photonic tactical officer has gone down in the exchange, I could probably get you one with enough dil
EEEEEEE
