My first thought waking up from my fever nap was “I want Alpha-Bits”
I haven’t thought about those in 20 years. I haven’t eaten cereal since I was a little kid.
I don’t like cereal.
But now I really want Alpha-Bits.

LOOK AT THIS BIG FAT NERD OF A CATERPILLAR I FOUND HE WAS BIG AND GREEN AND ADORABLE AND DIDN’T EVEN POOP ON ME WHICH WAS SWEET OF HIM/HER

i really need to start just bringing my good camera with me to classes – My stupid phone would nOT FOCUS ON THE CATERPILLAR

Working on ID’ing it. I let it go away from the path after the photo op by the way.

Pretty sure it was a Sphinx chersis, Great ash sphinx moth larva. But don’t quote me on that, the sphinx are all pretty similar. 

YOU HAVE THE BEST BUGS
all we have are mosquitoes, hornets, and giant freaking millipedes.

Move to missouri and you too can play with giant green squishy caterpillars! And also brown recluse spiders but I digress

We have brown recluse here, too. But I prefer black widows. They’re prettier.

Ya’ll are going to stage a hydra-style mutiny for this but I do not understand the obsession with Halloween. Yea it’s a fun holiday and I’m a cosplayer, I love to dress up but that’s about it for me. I don’t like spooky things or skeletons or… pumpkin. It’s not even October yet gaiz.  I DON’T GET IT OKAY

It was always kind of a rebellion thing for me I guess. But also a social thing. Not so much into the commercialized “ooh ghosties goblins” whatever. But candy, I like candy. And costumes. ALL THE COSTUMES. It’s the one night when everybody turns into a cosplayer and the entire town becomes one big weird convention where we all carry bags of candy.

And maybe, MAYBE I dressed up like a zombie-ish person one year.

I love Halloween because not only is October a month where I can wear costumes all the time, but other people do, too 🙂 People who otherwise wouldn’t.
