So…my old laptop finally just gave up and died. I took advantage of the sales and treated myself to a fancy shmancy gaming desktop and HOLY MOLY. Gaming computers can play GAMES. Who knew.
sO uh, I’m playing STO with the highest graphics settings and a machine that can actually handle the load for the first time ever (probably without even overheating). It’s so zippy and pretty and glowy and I can’t stop staring at it.
“You!” Quill had been curious to see the Undine prisoner, but he hadn’t expected to hear “her” speak to him. He turned, frowning. The Undine was staring straight at him, the raspy voice still echoing. He glared back.
The Undine swayed, almost uneasily, as she gazed at him, “what…are you?”
Quill shrugged, in no mood for mind games, but not really in a hurry to get back to the “mission”, either.
“You…” the Undine stepped closer, but leaned away, “I can not see you. Your energy is unstable; dark.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” Quill crossed his arms.
The Undine turned away, quiet now, but an eerie feeling crept into Quill’s mind. He felt as if a cold hand were brushing against his head, sudden sharp claws trying to pick it apart. He shuddered and backed out of the cell.
