So I’m seeing those Jadzia Dax and Kira Nerys figures going from between $10 and $50 across the internet what is this
I have a Tom Paris doll (it was kind of a joke gift but I actually really like the doll) and I unboxed him, carefully, and I kept all his packaging. I figure my dolls and figures are worth more to me if I get to hold them and pose them, than they would be if I ever sold them. It’s all a personal preference thing. I like to play with my toys xD Some people like to display them in their boxes, mint, and that’s ok too. I have way too many figures to do that!
That’s what I do, I just unbox in a way that it is possible for me to put them back for display purposes, or for sale later (as ‘opened’). I have a bunch of final fantasy figures I should frankly sell… anyway.
Btw spark I bid on a Bashir figure last night in a tired stupor and I’m still the high bidder
LOL YES. I AM A WITNESS TO KAI’S BID ON THE TINY BASHIR and I’m still laughing omg it’s so perfect
And yeah, that’s what I’ve considered doing, just being super gentle with unboxing them ;w; I’d keep the packaging in our giant box of Star Trek stuff my mom wants to sell it all and if she does i’m going to cry for ten years
maybe i’d produce enough tears to present to shatner as payment for his autograph
I actually think these may have been opened before too! The packaging just doesn’t look like it came fresh off the shelf if that makes any sense
So I don’t feel too bad pffft
If Kai gets doll Bashir then I simply MUST get doll Garak to keep him company/bother him while he’s trying to eat doll lunch at the doll replimat.
I used to keep all of my packaging until that got too cumbersome to store. Now I just have a couple of figures I won’t unbox, a few figures that live in their boxes when not on display (my Classic Tron guys, my Babylon Five crew), and a few tubs of loose, but somewhat organized armies. My dream is to one day have a place big enough to put everyone on shelves so I can admire them all at once, but I am afraid that by the time I get a place big enough, I will have 10 times as many and they’ll be calling Hoarders on me.
