Clu Boots Mk III
Mk I didn’t survive from last con and my insisting on wearing them everywhere. (plus they were uncomfortable)
Mk II got worn into a foot of snow while pushing a car up a hill to rescue a little family during the blizzard.
But I like these best anyway! Modified winter boots, comfortable, and designed for the reflective tape to actually survive being walked on for a while.
My Clu EL tape arrived.
It is traffic cone orange and lights up white.
All that glitters (or glows) is truly not gold.
Procrastinating because I’m working on my cosplay and I’m scared to start cutting out just the pattern. I know what I want now though, aside from lighting it. I still have no idea how to pull that off.

What I’ve been working on this weekend.
The jacket is two sizes too big for me, but I was having trouble finding anything in grey. I added the red on the sleeves.
I felt like being Claudia today.

I’m off to a scifi convention. My first, actually (officially). It’s a day’s drive away so we’re making a road trip of it. and I’ll be cosplaying there, and I’ve been looking forward to this for months, and it is a huge huge deal to me.

I have new boots.
When I decided to make a Clu 1 costume, I foolishly didn’t take into consideration that -this- is what I would be staring at for hours on end.
