AH I forgot to mention I also rocked around town today in my Loki cosplay coat. I didn’t get any pictures (it’s really insanely difficult to get pictures of the entire coat? And stopping traffic anywhere to do so is kinda weird…like HEY EVERYONE HOLD UP LOKI’S GOT A GLORIOUS NEED FOR A SELFIE…though I technically could have grabbed one at Burgerville…oh well)

No. One. Noticed. I didn’t even get that awkward “trying not to look” look, except a few somewhat scared glances from older folks at the hospital. I got -one- compliment from someone who was completely unaware that it was a costume. MarvelAsgard-inspired fashion passes for normal clothes?

There are days when I -really- wonder about this town.

There’s not much point to barricading oneself in one’s room when one’s room is basically in exile in the dungeon in the first place, and no one actually wants to be down here.
But it’s kind of satisfying anyway.

Nobody
NOBODY
gets to tell you, at any point in your life, what you can dream about.
YOUR DREAMS AND GOALS IN LIFE ARE YOUR OWN, DAMMIT.

Sometimes, yes, hope is just an illusion. But sometimes, illusions are all you have to survive on. And hope can be a damn strong one.
