Pssst, hey, I’m a new STO player and I was wondering.. where can I find RP?

Errr… You know I’m really not sure. I just Rp privately (on skype) with friends of mine that play, personally. There may be a venue somewhere where STO people go to RP but tbh I don’t know of it.

I’d suggest Quark’s bar for casual RP. There’s usually RPers on Risa, but some of them are after more than just friendly chatter if you get my drift, so be cautious if that’s not your thing. Bajor used to be a hot spot for RP, but I don’t know that it still is. You might try searching the forums for information on RP fleets and RP channels you could join as well. 🙂

Quark’s is the main one. The other places I can think of are…uh…seedy, shall we say. You can sometimes find fleets of other RPers, or occasionally run into them on starbases, but Quark’s is really the best place to just strike up an in-character conversation.

Miv likes to hang out at Quark’s after a long day. She has a tendency to play a few too many spins on the Dabo wheel, have a little too much Kanar, start ranting about the state of Cardassia to anyone who will listen, and eventually end up flirting incessantly with the nearest person.

This happens surprisingly often.

Quark’s is always a great place to make friends and learn about new cultures.

“When drinking in a bar, it is important to sing pirate songs.”
“Really?” Miv set her glass down and leaned forward, her companion already tilting unsteadily on the barstool.
“Oh yes,” the other woman’s words slurred merrily, “do they not sing on Cardassia?”
“Oh, of course,” Miv nodded, “but I can’t recall ever hearing any Cardassian pirate drinking songs.”
“That’s too bad,” the woman nodded solemnly, then attempted to snap her fingers, her hand coming dangerously close to knocking her mug over, “I know, I’ll teach you!”
Miv lent the woman an amused smile, “That sounds delightful!”
“Another drink!” the woman cheered, “we must drink while we sing!”
Miv gestured surreptitiously to the Ferengi bartender, “Yes, but we better make it synthahol or we will be concluding our concert in the infirmary.”
