Iron Man/Tony Stark

I didn’t have an Iron Man suit, so I made one out of clothing and little magnetic LED lights. I had entirely too much fun with this outfit and I would do it again. I don’t think Tony liked being isolated out in the woods though. Next time, we should do this someplace different…like maybe the beach or a nice ski resort with jacuzzi tubs.

Hulk.
I tried.
I mean, you’d really think I would have more green clothing? But no. I tried to go with transitioning Banner/Hulk due to wardrobe limitations. Then I got frustrated and started grabbing things and smashing them into the cement.

I’m still trying to get the green makeup off my face.

I would have to say that Hulk is not really a good fit for me.

Hawkeye
This was another mix of cosplays and miscellaneous borrowed things. Hawkeye apparently borrowed some kid’s archery set. The world was at stake, ok. Also yes, I was standing in that tree. I was not leaning on any other branches, I was balanced on that ONE BRANCH and it was slippery wet moss and bark and it’s kind of amazing that I didn’t fall off while trying to hold those poses.

I’m also not an archer. 0 training. Ignore my floppy elbows and stuff.

Black Widow
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this outfit! I figured that as much black as I have in my wardrobe, it wouldn’t be too difficult to come up with something. I just didn’t expect to have so much fun sneaking around outside wearing it! It was really simple and comfortable, just a black shirt, black leggings, my black riding boots, an OLD thrift store belt, and some cosplay guns. The gloves were some that I had made years ago for a completely different reason.

Thor.
This one was fun, but possibly the most challenging to put together due to my complete lack of silver clothing items. I went with a grey long-sleeve t-shirt, a blue t-shirt over that, and my grey cosplay vest (it’s been so many things at this point, and it doesn’t even look good on me 0o). I borrowed a friend’s superhero cape and hammer, and the little discs are made of button pins with aluminum foil. I totally forgot I had the little stud bracelets…but they oddly work for me.

My hair is the wrong color and I did a crap job on his beard. I’m sorry. If it makes it better, I went and picked up the mail dressed like this and two cars slowed wayyyy down to watch.

The First Avenger

As promised, I started with Captain America. And I really had my doubts about being able to pull this off. I adore him, but liking a character is a LONG way from being able to physically portray them. Plus, my wardrobe is quite lacking in spangly attire. But I managed to pull together a few other cosplay pieces, my riding helmet, and a craft foam star cutout…and painted a discarded drum head for a shield.

I personally love how it turned out. Not sure I’d want to cosplay Cap on a regular basis, but I had a lot of fun this time out.
