I would really like to know the thought process of whoever designed my house.

I’m curious as to what would make someone go, “Hey, we should put a fan up there in the bathroom and hook it up to a switch and everything… and then we should just put the ceiling over it so that you can turn it on and off but it does jack shit and you can barely hear that it exists.”

Sounds like the people that designed my house. “hey let’s make nothing work, everything go backwards, oh and lol who needs a kitchen. Let’s also put electrical outlets in the floor in the dining room so that food can fall in them. Let’s hide the front door so that no one can ever find it if they want to visit us. The driveway should be the exact opposite of straight, so that we can’t ever park our cars in front of the garage in any way that makes sense. And also the least amount of natural light indoors, the better. Great, we have the most depressing cave possible, and let’s build it out of poison. Awesome!”

((I really hate these terrible blizzard winds we get (without the snow, it doesn’t snow here). It may look like a summer day but it’s cold as fuck and the wind is even colder. Not only that, but they’re extremely strong gusts and are loud, too. It can knock trees over and cut the power, and it can instill fear that the winds might tear houses down. (They do not, but it feels like it.) Basically winter is crap no matter where you go, and winter still sucks even the dry winters.))

The wind blew a manufactured home over off a tractor-trailer as it was trying to cross the bridge today. I was trying to get across but…nope. House in the way.

Also…I would like to add for posterity that the trees that get blown over are typically not cute little fruit trees. They’re big hefty evergreen trees as tall as fifteen-story buildings. Which like to break branches and other huge trees on their way down, and can easily squish cars, buildings, roads…just a single BRANCH can cause massive amounts of damage. Double that, if it is waterlogged or covered in ice.

And lately, the fog has been so thick at night that you can be in your car and not see anything 2 feet away. People still drive the same speeds they would otherwise go.

Winter is just dangerous.
